woohoo! im finally back, achieving to a small extent, civillian status. the past 2wks have been madness! i couldn't believe it but but i managed to complete my combat skills badge course! it was really challenging especially the long endless route march, oklar not endless but rather over a distance of 32km which had to be done in 6hrs. marching with a load of at least 13kg excluding the rifle was really not a joke. the feeling sucks especially when you reach the 8km mark because that is when the temptation to fall out is the highest. you know that once you have passed the 8km mark, there would be no turning back as it is really not worth it. it was truly a test of mental strength. the route march was made "interesting" with the inclusion of river crossing to make our bodies totally drenched and hence hurting the blisters that you have at the 19km mark. to end it all, we were required to go for a rifle range test immediately after we reached the end point. with 10 live rounds given, we had to hit at least a minimum score of 6 to pass. i tot i would fail the final test as i was seriously suffering from aches and stiffness on my shoulders. but, i told myself to just heck it. if its meant to be then its meant to be. thank God, i managed to hit 9 shots. it was greatness.
congratulations to fyedee! for passing his driving test! now i have a friend who drives a car and another who drives a 5 tonner plus a land rover.ahahaha. for fyedee, your next step should be getting a car! hahaha. that would make our lives more convenient.
just before i go for taiwan, i tot i should treat my family to dinner, since now i'm earning slightly more, hehe.so, if everything goes well, insyallah it would be at straitskitchen next sat. its not everyday that i have the opportunity to treat people..so i guess now is a good time to do so :)
quite excited for next week cos i'll be taking the helicopter for exercise Grandslam2! not sure if we're taking the apache or chinnup(not really sure of the spelling!ahaha) but i hope the weather would be fine so that we will not miss that opportunity. oh yar yar..since fyedee's b'day is next week, i suggest friends, we should organise something. and and if we are budget which is most likely the case, we could make him treat us! hehe. nonetheless, looking forward to meeting everyone even if it has to resort to eating at al-amin hawker centre!
i wanna watch lindsay lohan! Just my luck. but from the looks of it, i have to wait for the release of the vcd since none of my friends are actually fans of lindsay lohan.most of them prefer hilary duff, which i think is so crappy. hahaha
