the big relief. 09:47
ok, here's the thing. i never imagined myself passing soc in bmt or in bslc, sispec, wad more in aslc. but i've no freaking idea how the heck i did it, i managed to pass it last wednesday! i'll remember that day for the rest of my life.ahaha.the moment i reached the end point, i fell on my knees. while running, i felt like dying!can u believe it?? hahaha.seriously, i do not know what kept me running all the way to the end. perhaps its due to the early book out on saturday and the fact that it would be my last run down for at least these few months. its really thanks to my peers who made me pace their speed and my section instructor who told me to run like a dog and to not worry about fainting at the end as the medic wld be there to help!ahaha thanks guys! and of course to Him for granting me strength every step of the way :) yay! i'm on my way to sergeanthood!
and so the postings for those who just passed out from bmt are out! guess wad ilyas got? of all things in the world, a driver. its really ridiculous. i thought he deserves something better having passed IPPT, coming from a leadership batch and having a pes A status. but whatever lar..everything is so unpredictable. nonetheless, i think ilyas is somehow glad that he could throw away almost everything from the irritating sbo to the stinking helmet. oh yar and he didn't have to worry about putting on that oh-so-famous army facial cream, camo cream. btw, i heard azad is also a driver! ahaha.
to the rest, i wish u guys luck and hope that u guys enjoy where you guys are posted to.to mark, see you in sispec!

i kindda miss my bslc mates.
sheng quan,boon keng,john, richard, jee siang, jinxiang, yifei, sex bomb, kenneth,jie wei, qian wei, dingwen, terence, eng yeow, melvin..and more. i hope they are enjoying themselves in their new postings and that we get to meet up some day. btw for ur information, we live by the principle of welfare is the new warfare! ahahaha. thats wad golf coy had taught us.hahaha.
standardisation has a limit.
i see no point if we emphasize too much on standardisation that we actually compromise the efficiency of the platoon. standardisation is crappy. it sucks as its pointless. it only serve to make it look more organised but so what? i just can't stand commanders who are really rigid in their thinking. come on lar, policemen no longer wear shorts and the army is no longer ruled by the way it was used to. so wake up ur idea. the reason why some things never change is due to certain individuals who do not accept it due to their extremely big egos.
everyone is going for holidays! *sighs. este and sue are like enjoying themselves in malaysia and ac band is leaving for australia in 2 days..everyone is going away!! but not too bad, i'll be going to taiwan in 3 wks. however, i can somehow predict how tough the training wld be thanks to my commando platoon commander. i bet he'll make us arti drill for at least 2 km. 9 days of hell and i'm off to enjoy the rest of taiwan! my platoon commando is seriously mad. he makes us memorise 6 whole paragraphs describing the purpose and meaning to leadership. and one of his favourite paragraphs is:
leadership is the hallmark of my leadership.
i'll place my mission of paramount importance
and will not rest until my mission is completed.
isn't that a typical commandos' mentality? once a commando always a commando! ahaha. yeap, but i guess its all going to help us become better leaders! take it positively matin. for every step that u take is a step closer to the end :)
