It just ain't right.
There's so much things that I really want to blurt out this time round.
It's just bloody irritating to be caught in the middle. It truly sucks.

Whatever things that have been going on outside camp or more specifically at home have made me really pissed off with a number of individuals. I do not understand why people do things that I just do not find a justifiable reason for why they do it. Come on please grow up. Which part of being matured don't they understand? Shouldn't people be concerned with more important things now (especially if you are in school!) rather than indulge themselves in activities or whatever that not only do not bring about any benefits but affect the lives of those around them. I really wonder what goes on in the minds of these people. Not only are they self-centered, they just simply couldn't be bothered. If I could I would smack their heads to wake up their bloody idea! If I have recruits like these people in future, I'll make sure they suffer. Somehow it seems, all that talking crap do not seem to get the message across the stubborn minds of theirs. I have to confess, this whole crappy thing has made me hate people whom I'm not supposed to. Ok, whatever. I'm just rambling.

Moving on to happier stuff, YAY! I'm truly grateful that I managed to secure a place in the university and course that I've been hoping and dreaming for. Take note of the words I have used – hoping and dreaming. Those words truly reflect my sentiments regarding my university application especially with my oh-so-wonderful results. I'm truly glad and grateful that I got in. it has been truly a blessing. Thank YOU. For the first time in my life, at least I know where I would be heading to after my formal education! That's great news for someone who has been studying and learning aimlessly without a clear direction in life, besides grades, grades and better grades. I'm also glad that my friends have got into NUS too!! Yayness. To Este, carol and Sam, you guys would be my seniors! While for ilyas, oh-my-god, we'll be completing our tertiary education at the same place once again. You're officially my schoolmate since the day I embarked on my education journey in primary one! I can't believe it.

Also found out this week that I would be continuing my course in SISPEC for another 12 weeks in ASLC (Advanced Section Leader Course) after I pass out from BSLC to become a corporal in 3 wks time. In simple layman's term, it would be tough, if not tougher training before I get my 3 stripes to be a sergeant. And all that for a possibility of me landing up in Tekong to help turn boys to men. Frankly speaking, I do not find going to Tekong as a good thing. Apparently, for most of my friends, going to Tekong meant a chance to complete their NSF life being treated as royalty. But is this all there is to ranks? Is this what every individual that walk pass through the gates of SISPEC, singing the school song every time they march off and shouting the words: with pride we lead, sispec before water parading thinks of? I feel sad for these individuals. They do not understand the true meaning of leadership and ranks. Ranks meant responsibilities while leadership meant being a positive influence to those below you. Never, never do things that you do not want others to do to you, with the exception of maybe gossiping or bitching! Ahahaha. Everyone gossips and they have that bitchyness in them. It is only about whether or not they want to reveal that aspect of their lives. Well, from what it seems, apparently most people have done that! Ahahaha :)

I really love this song, the prayer. There are many versions to this song but I prefer the duet that was done live by Celine Dion and Josh Groban. I totally agree with my friend that both singers are a perfect combination as they complement each other very well – just the right amount of pop and opera. The lyrics are really great and meaningful. Here is the song:

i pray u'll be our eyes
and watch us where we go.
And help us to be wise
in times when we don't know
Let this be our prayer,
when we lose our way
Lead us to the place,
guide us with your grace
To a place where we'll be safe

I pray we'll find your light
and hold it in our hearts.
When stars go out each night,

The light you have
I pray we'll find your light
will be in the heart
and hold it in our hearts.
to remember us that
When stars go out each night,
you are eternal star

How much faith there's
Let this be our prayer
in my prayer
when shadows fill our day
Lead us to a place,
guide us with your grace
Give us faith so we'll be safe

We dream a world without violence
a world of justice and faith.
Everyone gives the hand to his neighbours
Symbol of peace, of fraternity
The force his gives us
We ask that life be kind
is wish that and watch us from above
everyone finds love
We hope each soul will find around
and inside another soul to love
Let this be our prayer
Let this be our prayer,
just like every child
Need to find a place,
guide us with your grace
Give us faith so we'll be safe
Need to find a place,
guide us with your grace
Give us faith so we'll be safe

Isn't it lovely?

making the friendship last
well, at least according to a friend of mine, it requires that one finds each other vaguely repulsive.
vaguely repulsive: slightly unpleasant
its rather amusing and ironic isn't it? nonetheless, i do agree with it.hahahaha. the group of friends that i m really close to seems to be proving that point. Honestly speaking, i do not seem to know why we're very close friends. The things that we do to each other somehow would never make anyone believe that we're friends at all. Bitching, getting on each others back, attempts to irritate each others lives, telling lame reasons and excuses when we're late, poking our noses at each others business, laughing at each others weaknesses and even making fun at how we picture ourselves 20 to 30 yrs down the road! i do not think normal friends would do that to each other. It has has never been easy explaining to others about the relationships that i have with my close friends. more often than not, many would comment without failing a grin, upon seeing our behaviours and attitudes towards each other:
aren't u guys supposed to be very good friends?
my answer would be simple: yes we are.that's how it works :)
the first thing that comes to their minds would be, we're very hypocritical individuals.but what defines one to be hypocritical is when one pretends to be morally good to each other in person and we're not that. we blatantly display our unhappiness and grudges to each other. in fact, it's very seldom that we actually sing praises or even show care and concern (what i believe normal friends would do) to each other.
Do you think normal friends would do these?
after crossing a busy road
friend A: why did u let me cross first?
friend B: oh, i know that i might die crossing first, so i let
you have the honour
friend A: (as usual, with his blatant remarks) *rolls eyes*,
whatever.
coming up with the best reasons for being late
friend C: shit! we're gonna be late!
friend A: ..as usual
friend C: shit, the phone is ringin. what should we say???
friend A: okok, tell them that you left ur ez-link card at
home and that you had to go
back to take it. oh yar, don't forget to mention
that we were actually early for
once but due to unforseen circumstances, we're
gonna be late.
friend C: Alright! that's a good one.
trying to ignore
friend A: hey, how, how! friend D is calling me again for
like a million times in a row!
how irritating, forever wanting to know what
we're doing.
friend B: lets think of a way to shut friend D off. hmmm,
wad about, you just ignore the call and explain
to friend D tmr that you were asleep or
bathing or erm..didn't feel the vibration of the
phone or simply saying that your phone is spoilt.
aiyar, at most tmr you have to just tolerate the
naggings of friend D
friend A: true, true. wait, friend D is calling you too!
friend B: damn. now what.
friend A: quick! switch off ur phone.
friend B: now, both of us will have to tolerate the naggings
of friend D
friend A: what to do, we're friends. there's no way out
*grins*
bitching
i can't remember any examples as there were too many! hahaha. they know who they are.
it is funny looking back at the things we do to each other. but i guess those are the very reasons that bring us together. weird but its always a joy to be with them :)
a company like no other!
